Smoking & Oral Health
Smoking can be very bad for your health and your mouth no matter your age. Smoking or use of any kind of tobacco products can leave you with a stained tongue and teeth, a dulled sense of taste and smell and bad breath. Not only will you lose taste of some great-tasting foods, you increase your risk of gum disease, tooth loss, and a really bad one, oral cancer.
Would you rather quit smoking now and avoid very expensive dental work in the future or continue smoking and risk losing all of your teeth?
COVID-19 and People Who Use Drugs
Although the risk of severe illness from COVID-19 for people who use drugs is not known, people who use drugs may have underlying medical conditions that put them at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19. Teens and Smoking
Are you a teenager that smokes or uses tobacco products? Well, if you are and you smoke, you are putting yourself at risk for bad skin (as if teenage hormones weren’t enough), bad smelling clothes and hair, poor sports performance and longer healing times. And be prepared for an increased risk of getting sick.
It’s important to remember that any kind of tobacco can harm your health including, hookah, smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes and vaping machines. Did you know that one session of smoking hookah can be the same as smoking 100 cigarettes?
